On Friday October 24, our Year 5 and 6 students participated in Youth Parliament—a fantastic opportunity to see democracy in action. They joined students from 16 other schools, taking on various roles within the legislative assembly, including Clerk, Sergeant-at-Arms, Whip, and Members of Parliament. Eight of our students represented electorates and delivered thoughtful one-minute speeches on topics of importance. A special mention goes to Michael, who had the honour of opening Parliament as the Youth Premier, sharing his vision for Queensland. All students did a wonderful job in their respective roles and represented Ma Ma Creek SS with pride. Well done, everyone!
