Swimming program
Students participate in a comprehensive swimming program during terms 1 and 4, travelling to Gatton each week to take part in structured lessons delivered by qualified instructors. These sessions focus on developing water safety, stroke technique and confidence in the pool. The swimming block is an important part of our Health and Physical Education program, ensuring all students build essential lifelong skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Caffey Interschool Sports Carnivals
Each year, Ma Ma Creek State School joins with other small schools in our district to participate in the Caffey Interschool Sports Carnivals. These events include athletics, swimming, cross country, ball games and sports gala days, offering students a fantastic opportunity to compete, develop their skills and connect with peers from neighbouring schools. The carnivals foster teamwork, sportsmanship and school spirit, while celebrating the strengths and achievements of all participants.
Sporting Schools
Our school proudly participates in the federally funded Sporting Schools program, giving students access to free after-school coaching in a variety of sports throughout the year. These sessions are delivered by accredited coaches and provide students with the chance to build skills, stay active and try new sports in a fun, supportive environment. The program adds wonderful variety to our physical activity offerings and helps foster healthy habits and a lifelong love of sport.
